It’s been a while since we’ve posted photos of Alice. She’s six months old now, and still very happy (when she’s not screaming from an ear infection or some other horrible injustice, of course).
Anyway, here you go, some new pictures. Lots more to come, since Grandma & Grandpa Bergman are coming to visit this week!

Alice has been a very happy baby lately…unfortunately, every time the camera comes out, her smile disappears. Here’s a few of our successful attempts at capturing Alice’s golden smile (not included: the thousand or so failed attempts):

Alice recently discovered an ExerSaucer, a toy station that lets her stand up while playing. This was of course, the greatest thing in the world to her, as we see in this video:

Over Memorial Day weekend, Alice was visited by a whole lot of family, including Great Grandma Ruth. We’ve posted a ton of new photos over in the gallery taken during the weekend…check ‘em out:

This past weekend Alice had a visit from more family, including her Great Grandma. We’ll be posting pictures soon, but here’s a quick preview video of her getting passed around a lunch table between Great Grandma Ruth, Grandma Ellen and Aunt Stephanie:

Last weekend was Alice’s first passover, along with her baby naming ceremony — yes, she finally has a name in the eyes of God (Eliza Hannah). Lots of family was there, many of whom had never met Alice before. We couldn’t take any photos during the ceremony, but we’ve got lots of passover pics up for all to see:
There were so many family members there that she got passed around like the contents of a Hillel sandwich!

Alice did end up needing surgery, which she had on Tuesday, April Fool’s Day. Fortunately there was no trick involved, and she is recovering nicely and her breathing is much improved. Here’s a picture of her exhausted Daddy holding her while she sleeps off the anesthesia (almost funny story–Alice weighed about 7 and a half pounds on Tuesday but had enough anesthesia for a nine pound baby).

Alice has had a busy week, and has made lots of new baby and toddler friends. Mom and Dad have made a few new friends too, participating an a new havurah through our temple.
The not so great news is that Alice’s nose is still not quite up to snuff, I mean sniff. So tomorrow we are going back to Dr. Rosbe to see if she needs (gulp) more surgery. We hope not, but it’s looking more and more like we’ll be taking another trip to the hospital. In spite of it all, though, Alice is growing like a weed. She’s starting to sleep for several hours at a stretch at night, and she’s starting to vocalize and smile, and she flips over a bit more easily when she wants to. We’ve got more pictures up in the gallery, too.
